AKBP Ari Cahya Nugraha alias Acay admitted he saw CCTV when he came to Duren Tiga’s house and saw a dead body Brigadier Joshua Hutabarat lay down. However, he did not dare to ask about CCTV from Ferdy Sambo, who was the head of the Polri Propam division at that time.
This was revealed in the trial of Ferdy Sambo’s subordinates, AKBP Arif Rachman Arifin, in South Jakarta (Jaksel) District Court on Friday (25/11/2022).
The prosecutor initially asked Acay whether it was true that Acay had called Ferdy Sambo on Friday (7/8) or the day Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat was shot dead at Ferdy Sambo’s official residence. Acay said he was contacted at around 5.30pm WIB and asked to go to Ferdy Sambo’s house.
“On the phone, Ferdy Sambo left the office at 5.30pm WIB with brother Irfan (AKP Irfan Widyanto),” Acay said.
Arriving at Sambo’s official residence, Acay said that at that moment Ferdy Sambo immediately asked him to enter. Inside the house, Acay said he saw someone lying down who he later discovered was Brigadier Yosua.
“After we got there, we entered from the garage. After we passed through the garage, we passed Mr. FS sitting in the garage wearing a gray T-shirt with his PDL,” Acay said.
“When he walked into the living room someone lay down, ‘Who’s that?'” said Acay.
“Did the witness ask Richard?” asked the prosecutor.
“‘Hell what’s wrong?’ According to Ricky Richard, there was a shooting with Yosua,” Acay said, mimicking a conversation with Bharada Richard.
The prosecutor asked whether Acay saw the CCTV in Sambo’s house when the day of Brigadier Yosua’s murder arrived. Acay admits to having seen it.
“When the witness said there was video surveillance, when did you hear about it?” asked the prosecutor.
“I understand sir,” Acay said.
The prosecutor also asked why it had not occurred to Acay to ask Ferdy Sambo of CCTV. Acay admitted that at the time he didn’t dare ask why Ferdy Sambo was a two-star general and head of the Polri Propam division.
“Why was the witness instinctive when he arrived, there was a presentation at the Duren Tiga, the witness didn’t know about the story of the shooting, the witness asked CCTV, didn’t he question it?” asked the prosecutor.
“Sir, I dare not ask Sambo, head of the Propam division,” replied Acay.
