Techno live – SAMSUNG it will reportedly emulate the functionality it first existed for iPhone 14 ie the satellite communication function for the next mobile phone, serial Samsung Galaxy S23 which is expected to be released early next year.
At Apple, this feature is known as “Emergency SOS” and is the result of collaboration with Globalstar, according to the GSM Arena website on Friday, November 25, 2022.
Samsung appears to be following a similar lead, with a different third party. It is reported that this South Korean company has teamed up with Iridium to be able to showcase satellite communication features on the Galaxy S23 series.
Iridium is a constellation of 66th magnitude low Earth orbit satellites that provide voice and data services.
It appears that Samsung’s efforts to overcome the technical challenges of bringing satellite communications to smartphones over the past couple of years will be successful.
Galaxy S23 users can send text messages and small pictures through this service. But one of the challenges of satellite communication is the size of the antenna which needs to be made compact.
