The 22-year-old’s name is Tan. Tan works in the mountainous region of Chongqing municipality in western China. The workplace videos were also shared on social media. Tan shared videos and pictures of his “peaceful” workplace on Douin, the Chinese version of TikTok. Tan said the environment is very calm here.
The South China Morning Post reported that Tan said, “I don’t have to listen to my superiors’ bad words in the office, I have peace, I can have a lot of free time, I can travel… Besides all this, I have a good salary.” Tan describes herself as a caretaker of the cemetery.
What is this young woman’s job in the cemetery? Tan’s duties include selling coffins, welcoming guests and storing the coffins. The job lasts six days. The working hours are from 8:30 to 5:00. Salary is Rs 45766. Many people praised Tan’s work.
