Toss Bank announced on the 24th that it will promote a paid capital increase for a total of 100 billion won.
On the 23rd, Toss Bank’s board of directors decided to issue 20 million ordinary shares at 5,000 won per share. The method of the capital increase was by attribution to third parties, in which existing and new shareholders participated.
Hana Card will participate as a new shareholder. A total of 1,950,617 shares will be allotted for a value of approximately 9.8 billion won.
Toss Bank said, “Hana Card currently serves as a check card (Toss Bank Card) and also cooperates as a strategic partner.”
After the capital increase, Toss Bank’s total paid-in capital will rise to 1.45 trillion won. At launch last year, Toss Bank’s capital was 250 billion won, and it has undergone a total of six capital increases so far.
