Harmful Effects of Stimulant Drugs – Hossam Mowafi Warns Students Against Taking Them:

Dr Hossam Mowafi, professor of critical cases at the Faculty of Medicine, Kasr Al-Ainy, warned of a common habit that a large number of students commit, especially during exams, which poses a great danger to their health.

Muwafi said during his program, “My Lord, raise me in knowledge”, broadcast on the Sada Al-Balad channel, that this habit consists of taking stimulant drugs, to increase concentration, increase attention and stay awake for long hours the night.

The intensive care professor added that stimulant drugs negatively affect the body’s biological clock, which increases the risk of developing sleep disorders, such as insomnia.

He explained that taking stimulant drugs regularly can lead to addiction, especially if the person experiences headaches, mood swings, poor concentration and distraction, if they do not receive their usual dose on time.
