A 60-year-old was rescued after the crash of his ULM on Tuesday afternoon at Nîmes-Couressac airfield, near Nîmes (Gard). The accident occurred, for still unknown causes, while the aircraft he was piloting was landing.
The 63-year-old victim was polytraumatized. He was treated by the firefighters and transported, in serious condition, to the university hospital in Nîmes. An important site safety device has been put in place to allow the operation, in order to avoid any fire risk of the microlight, linked to fuel leakage.
