The Red Cross invites you to the blood donation appointment on Sunday, December 11 from 9:00 to 13:00 in Watzelsdorf in the village house – old school (house no. 180).
WATZELSDORF. The Christmas season is about giving and doing good, for yourself and for others. Blood donors give the sick and injured a precious life – and this good deed is guaranteed to make you happy too. Currently, only 3.56% of the population of donor age gives blood. In emergencies, blood is one of the most important medicines and saves lives, for example during operations, childbirth or serious illness. Donating blood doesn’t hurt and only takes about seven minutes. If you want to give it your all, i.e. your blood, you should plan around 45 minutes for the whole process.
Who can donate?
People between the ages of 18 and 70 who meet certain health and legal requirements can donate blood. An official photo ID is required to donate blood.
Winter contest for blood donors
Anyone who donates blood to the Red Cross in Austria between 1 December 2022 and 31 January 2023 will automatically participate in the draw. There are pampering and wellness days in a Falkensteiner Hotel & Residences of your choice, balloon flights and vouchers to be won.
