[L’industrie c’est fou] A Japanese company wants to revolutionize the shower with a human washing machine

It is in fact in the land of the rising sun that shower toilets were born, presented as cleaner and more pleasant than the small western corners. After the undeniable success of this device, the Japanese company Science intends to use the same logic to revolutionize shower enclosures.


Commercialization of the shower in 2025?

Christened Usoyaro, this strange invention takes the form of a long oval capsule, in the center of which a kind of deckchair is installed. Once lying down, the user closes the cabin and activates the high-pressure water jets, which are supposed to purify his pores using microscopic air bubbles. To relax the bather and make him forget that he has taken his seat inside a human washing machine, a relaxation video is broadcast throughout the programme. The sensors allow you to measure your heart rate and analyze your level of relaxation.

Still in the prototype stage, this innovation is actually inspired by a project launched in the 70s and then interrupted due to lack of outlets. The 2.0 version of the shower of the future should be marketed by 2025, after an official presentation at the Universal Exposition in Osaka. The company explains that it is aimed primarily at hospitals and retirement homes, in order to support people with reduced mobility, therefore all individuals. It does not yet specify the expected price for this device, but it is safe to bet that it costs little more than a simple Marseille soap.
