The firestorm (PHK) that has hit start-ups and tech companies in Indonesia appears to be continuing.

This time it has hit the omnichannel commerce enabler company SIRCLO Group.

The company announced a policy of efficiency measures that will result in layoffs for 8% of its total employees, effective November 22, 2022.

This step was taken to maintain long-term business continuity despite the threat of economic challenges that may arise in the future.

“As a fast growing technology company, SIRCLO The Group strives to continue to be adaptive in making business adjustments in order to achieve long-term growth,” SIRCLO Group founder and CEO Brian Marshal said in a written statement received detik comTuesday (11/22/2022).

In addition to the layoffs, the company has also made changes to its business processes to make them more efficient.

“In a situation of difficult macroeconomic conditions, the SIRCLO Group has gone through a series of internal assessments and will make significant changes, especially in terms of business focus, to ensure the sustainability of the company,” he continued.

However, he said the decision did not affect the company’s efforts to develop the best solutions for all segments of SIRCLO service recipients.
