The Ministry of Health and Population confirmed that there is no child under the age of two who has not been infected with the syncytial virus … and continued: “There is no reason to worry.”
Dr. Rasha Kamal, director of Abu Al-Rish University Hospital, said prevention methods and precautionary measures, such as hand washing, continuous disinfection and not exposure to cold, should be followed, noting that there is no vaccine for the virus and has no sustainable immunity in the body.
And he continued: “There is still no vaccine for syncytial virus and getting the flu shot does not protect against corona or syncytial virus.”
