Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman strongly condemned North Korea’s launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) and stressed the importance of trilateral cooperation between the United States, South Korea and Japan.
State Department spokesman Ned Price said in a press release on the 21st: “Deputy Secretary Sherman today held a three-way telephone consultation with South Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Cho Hyun-dong and Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Takeo Mori to discuss the launch of North Korea’s ICBM on Nov. 18,” he said.

“(Deputy Secretary Sherman) has urged North Korea to halt its illegal and destabilizing actions and instead engage in continued sincere dialogue,” he added.
