Al-Marsad_SPA Newspaper: The Interior Ministry released a statement regarding the application of the death penalty for a smuggler of amphetamine tablets banned in Al-Jawf region, as follows:
قال الله تعالى (( إِنَّمَا جَزَاءُ الَّذِينَ يُحَارِبُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا أَن يُقَتَّلُوا أَوْ يُصَلَّبُوا أَوْ تُقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُم مِّنْ خِلَافٍ أَوْ يُنفَوْا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ ذَلِكَ لَهُمْ خِزْيٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ )).
By the grace of Almighty God, Muhannad Samir Ali Hussein – a citizen of Syria – was arrested while smuggling banned amphetamine tablets, and the investigation with him ended with a charge against him of what was attributed to him, and referring him to the court, a writ was issued against him containing the proof of his guilt and the sentence to kill him as punishment, and the verdict was confirmed by the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, and a royal order was issued to carry out the been decided by law and was supported by its reference.
The death sentence was carried out as a ta’zir punishment against the perpetrator / Muhannad Samir Ali Hussein on Sunday corresponding to 26/04/1444 AH in Al-Jawf region.
And the Ministry of the Interior, in announcing it, confirms the promptness of the government of the Guardian of the Two Holy Mosques – God protect him – in combating drugs of all kinds because of the serious damage they cause to the individual and society and to impose the severest punishments to the guilty, deriving his approach from God’s just law, and at the same time warning all who do so That legal punishment will be his lot, and God is the Guide to the right path.
