The Red Sea International Film Festival announced today that Indian actor and producer Shahrukh Khan will be honored for his outstanding contribution to the film industry, at the opening ceremony of the second session of the festival, which will be held on the shores of the Red Sea coast from 1 to 10 December.
The festival screened 131 films, including shorts and features, from 61 countries in multiple languages up to 41 languages, produced and directed by a group of emerging and experienced talents.
It should be noted that legendary superstar Shahrukh Khan or King Khan as he is called by his fans is on the throne of Bollywood cinema and one of the most successful stars in the world.
With a career spanning more than three decades in the field of cinema and a career spanning more than 100 films, Khan has made a distinguished professional contribution to India and the world at large. Dove has received numerous awards and honors in recognition of his cinematic endeavors in the film industry.
Upon announcing star Shahrukh Khan’s honour, Mohammed Al-Turki, CEO of the Red Sea International Film Festival Foundation, commented, “We are delighted to honor star Shahrukh Khan, who has a distinct talent and is one of the icons of international cinema.
He added, “The Indian superstar has settled in the hearts of his fans since his inception till date. After a rich career spanning 30 years in the field of film industry, Shah Rukh Khan remains one of India’s foremost stars cinema which enjoys the admiration of audiences around the world. We look forward to welcoming the superstar to Jeddah this December.”
In turn, the international Bollywood star said: “I am very grateful for this honor and I am honored to participate in the opening of the second session of the Red Sea Film Festival.
