Albert Fish, known as the Boogeyman of America, was a rapist, murderer and child flesh eater in the 1920s. He claimed to have experienced great sexual pleasure while committing his crimes.

Budd himself is an 18-year-old looking for work. Albert Fish took advantage of this moment by giving Budd a job.
It was during this time that Albert Fish met Gracie until they both disappeared. The Budds receive a report detailing Gracie’s mutilation and murder. Gracie’s meat is also eaten. The note matched the handwriting of the original note sent to them earlier. During the investigation and before the letter was received, another child also went missing.
Four-year-old Billy Gaffney who was playing with his neighbor, also named Billy, goes missing, and three-year-old Billy claims that the “boogeyman” took Billy Gaffney.
Shortly after Billy Gaffney went missing, another boy also went missing. Eight-year-old Francis McDonnell was playing on the porch with his mother when a gray-haired old man came up muttering to himself.
The hunt for those responsible begins. The letter received by the Budd family was investigated and found to contain the coat of arms of the New York Private Chauffeur’s Benevolent Association (NYPCBA). All members were asked to take a handwriting test to compare with Albert Fish’s letters.
