Despite the big win, McIngvale isn’t keeping the cash, as the bets are part of a promotion for his furniture store.
“I make these bets because we do promotions in the furniture store. Like, if the Astros win the World Series they give you your money back,” McIngvale said. “I won 75 million dollars on that bet, he paid back 73 million dollars to customers and each other $2 million they were expenses.
