German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has expressed his belief that his country is well prepared for the transformation of the automotive industry.
“We have the best opportunities to participate in the future,” Scholz said, after a visit to the auto supply company “ZF” in the German city of Friedrichshafen today, Saturday. We will move forward here with great confidence,” he said, adding that technological transformation is not a threat, but a new horizon.
During the tour, the company’s CEO, Wolf-Hennish Scheider, briefed the consultant on the transformation of his group, which is now one of the leading manufacturers of electric motors.
According to Al-German, Scheider said demand for electric motors will be estimated at around 25 billion euros by 2030. The company has also been producing gears for wind farms since 2007.
The chancellor commented that we must go forward with courage “when it comes to facing our country’s future tasks”, adding: “It will still be possible with technology from Germany”.
