Stjernekamp won in 2019. On Saturday it became clear that 23-year-old Bilal Saab was also hiding behind the “Zombie” as this year’s Maskorama winner.
– It’s one of the craziest things I could have imagined being involved in, says Saab as the zip goes up on the zombie costume on Saturday night.
He stayed with the finalists of ‘The Wolf’ and ‘Rabagasten’ and ‘The Zombie’ in the evening show. One by one they were forced to reveal their true identities.
Everyone on the judging panel, consisting of Jan Thomas, Marion Ravn, Nicolay Ramm and guest judge Vegard Harm, believed it was Saab who was behind the winning costume. 63 percent of NRK viewers thought so too.
“Zombien” received five of the dice from the VG reviewer on both song numbers during the final. You will find the reviews at the bottom of the article.
“Singing inside a zombie and keeping it a secret from all your friends is by definition pretty crazy,” says Saab.
First I had to throw away the mask
“Rabagasten” received the fewest votes in the first round, making him the first of the night to reveal his true identity. There was the sporty profile Øystein Pettersen, also known as “Pølsa”, hiding behind it.
– People suspected you were “The Wolf” at first, and then that changed. What did you think then, asks presenter Silje Nordnes.
– It was a shame then, because I don’t really like lying, so it was nice to be able to say I wasn’t the Wolf. I also really wonder who he is, replies Pettersen.
Thus, it was the “wolf” and “zombie” who competed in the gold final of the program.
One attendee in particular stood out
Before the broadcast, Nicolay Ramm of the judging panel told VG that there was one participant in particular that got the judges thinking:
– It’s this “Wolf” that I think is a great question for all three of us. I hope there are some that we haven’t thought of at all. He’s a real cheater, he tells VG.
– I have my own theory, but I can’t reveal it now. I’ll save it for the broadcast, Jan Thomas interjects.
When it became clear that the “Zombie” had won, the “Wolf” had to take off his mask as well. There he was — as many of the judges had guessed beforehand — artist Daniel Kvammen being revealed.
– What a chef-monk plan this is. I had so much fun, Kvammen says during the show.
– I really feel that I am the wolf now, it will be boring to be Daniel Kvammen again, he adds.
VG picked up all tips on this page during this year’s season. You can see what VG readers have guessed by entering The Prophet Maskorama.
In the semifinal last week it was “Huldra” who had to take off her mask, as the last female participant in the program. It was artist Alexandra Joner (32) who hid behind her costume.
Maud Angelica Behn (19) And The orange fan it is also among those that have been revealed before.
VG reviewer Tor Martin Bøe rolls the dice across the broadcast from 20:00 tonight.
