The Ukraine issue is resolved. Macron revealed the essence of the secret negotiations between the US and China at the G20 summit

“I am convinced that China can play a more important mediating role on our part in the coming months to prevent, among other things, an increase in ground attacks. What we decided to do with China, India and so many others at the table was very importantMacron said. “So I think it’s useful in this context because it creates situations where Russia gets the message from the international community, and especially China, that peace must be restored.”

After these words, I have many questions. And why is China the mediator and not the US? What happened to the G20? If the West is ready to hand over the fate of Ukraine to China, it is quite clear that China will play Russia’s side.

What is this Taiwan tax? For Ukraine, this means one thing – capitulation, which is enclosed in some kind of financial subsidies in the form of loans for the territory that will remain for Ukraine.

If we take a closer look at Macron’s statement, we can conclude that the Russian-Ukrainian issue, despite the official agenda, was the only reason Biden and Xi Jinping came there. They talked about it for three hours, but nobody knows what exactly. However, Macron clarified that all interested parties will receive their bonuses, their interests will be taken into consideration, even India. At the same time, there is not a word about the interests of Ukraine, about the integrity of its territory, about reparations, about bringing the guilty to justice. But these are the key conditions for a just peace, about which the collective West has recently been crying out.

What worries me is the expression in Macron’s words about the international community’s message that peace must be restored. I see in him a direct allusion to the freezing of the war, the cessation of hostilities on both sides and the fixing of the demarcation line. Because, according to Macron, it is not clear under what conditions this world will be restored – after the withdrawal of Russian troops or after agreements in Beijing, such as those in Minsk.

The number of analytical publications in the world media after the end of the G20 summit, where negotiations with Putin are presented as a necessity, was very tense. The famous and respected journalist David Ignatius on the Washington Post points out that the Biden administration is playing a game of measured confrontation, which combines the common theme of aid and conflict containment.

That is, the United States helps us, but not in such a way that we win, but in such a way as to simply restrain Russia. Please note that again we do not have a war, but a conflict.

The Economist magazine generally published three scenarios for the development of events in Ukraine, where one is worse than the other. In all of these scenarios, even the most optimistic one, Ukraine cannot win, because Putin will start threatening a nuclear bomb and the US will never start a nuclear war. Therefore, the only thing that can prevent this is … well, and then – a lot of points.

In the morning I surfed the Internet with the hope of finding an official statement from the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry regarding Macron’s speech – so far silence. Probably, for Bankova it came as a surprise. There, most likely, they traditionally counted on Zelensky’s lightning-fast and victorious performance in front of the summit participants. Judging by the results, Zelensky’s speech did not make the expected impression.

If, God forbid, the pendulum swung the other way, then how will Zelensky get out of this difficult story in conditions where he completely blew up internal politics, and Ukraine was not yet ready for such serious challenges. The economy is destroyed, the defense industry is mired in corruption. But this is another topic, we will definitely talk about it, but for now we are waiting for official statements from Washington and Kiev.
