After 28 years of absence, the French four-wheeler manufacturer, Citroen returned to Indonesia through the Indomobil Group umbrella. Even though their comeback has only just begun, they are confident they can compete with the giants from home Japan.

The Indomobil Group Advisory Board, Tan Kim Piauw explained, there are a number of factors that make him confident that he can compete with the big Japanese brands, namely unique models and sophisticated technology.

“Citroen has uniqueness and courage in the design of its technology and products. With a long history, Citroen has become a pioneer in many automotive technologies used by many brands,” Tan said when asked about the tough competition with Japanese brands, quoted Saturday (19/11/2022) .

Tan stressed that in order to give the public full confidence in the quality of Citroen products, his party will launch a new car in Indonesia on December 7, 2022. He assured that the vehicle is equipped with advanced technology and a high level of comfort.

“The Citroen car, which will be presented on December 7, has several advantages that differentiate Citroen’s uniqueness from others. For example, the technology and the concept of comfort,” he said.

Unfortunately, Tan didn’t want to elaborate on the model any further. However, reports circulated, the car being launched was not just one, but more.

“Just wait for the match date,” he said.

Furthermore, according to Tan, competition in the four-wheeler market in Indonesia is very tight and does not involve only Japanese brands. However, he said, no matter how stiff the competition, there are many and varied enthusiasts or consumers in the country.

“The automotive market in Indonesia is growing. We all know that the actual capacity for vehicle needs here is far higher than the current situation. The point is, year by year, the market is always growing,” he stated Tan.
