Moscow – Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Rybakov said Russia is ready for high-level talks if the United States is interested in “strategic stability” in the context of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. However, a Putin-Biden summit is now unlikely.
Rybakov also said that Russia has nothing to talk about with the US on the Ukraine issue. Senior US and Russian officials will meet in Cairo from December 29 to 6 to discuss the issue of nuclear weapons.
Pope Francis has announced that he is ready to do anything to mediate talks to end the Russia-Ukraine war. In an interview with an Italian newspaper, the Pope said that everyone should not give up hope and should put aside hatred and seek peace through negotiations.
At the same time, Russia has stepped up its offensive aimed at disrupting Ukraine’s energy supply and military systems. The attack is centered on the Luhansk and Donetsk regions in eastern Ukraine. Heavy fighting continues here.
