Manama: A global security conference kicked off in Bahrain on Friday with the participation of defense ministry experts from several countries. 450 delegates from different countries will participate in the 18th Manama Dialogue Summit, which will take place at the Ritz Carlton Hotel from 18 to 20 November. United States Under Secretary of Defense Dr. Colin H. Kahl, United States Assistant Secretary Barbara A Liff, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and many other dignitaries will participate in the Manama Dialogue this time. World leaders, ministers from various countries, foreign officials and diplomats, and senior officials from military and navy departments are participating in the Manama Dialogue. Several plenary sessions are held on Saturdays and Sundays. Sessions are held every two hours. Four plenary sessions will be held on Saturday and three plenary sessions on Sunday. Access to the closely monitored summit is limited to those with special accreditation. In addition to Bahrain, the Manama dialogue is attended by representatives of various countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Australia, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Great Britain, America and others. The conference, organized by the International Institute for Strategic Studies, will conclude on Sunday. The Manama Dialogue was launched in Bahrain in 2004.
