La Rocca, Boccaccio, Fuse, Cherry Moon and Café d’Anvers: all throbbing names of clubs that had their heyday in the 90s. Only the Brussels techno temple Fuse still attracts a loyal crowd, including occasionally Aster Nzeyimana, for whom dating is a hobby. Growing up in Zele, near Lokeren with its legendary Cherry Moon, he has long had a fascination with nightlife.
“I belong to the generation of festivals, but I feel an impossible nostalgia for the heyday of discos, which I did not experience myself. The feeling “wow, that must have been a good time”“, is how Nzeyimana describes his motivation for making this series.
