Humor literature with Jürgen von der Lippe and Torsten Sträter

“I do what I like,” Jürgen von der Lippe once said and added: “I am completely independent of television.” In June 2023 he will be 75 years old. To date, one of his best TV experiences is “What are you reading?”, a program broadcast by WDR from 2003 to 2010, in which von der Lippe presented books together with prominent guests. After the TV format ended, Jürgen von der Lippe continued the concept in a similar form online in 2017. “Lippe’s Desire to Read” is now in its third season.

Together with Torsten Sträter, “the funniest, the most bizarre or even the most touching of the comedy literature of recent years” will be presented. The first part of the program recorded at Berlin’s “Wühlmäusen” celebrates its premiere on YouTube on Friday, November 18 at 21:00. The episode features lyrics by Harald Martenstein and Patrick Salmen, among others. “Leselust” regular guest Stefan Schwarz will also present his autobiographical novel “Bis ins Mark” about his own cancer.
