CD Projekt Red has announced that the long-awaited enhanced version of The Witcher 3 for next-generation consoles and PC will be available from December 14 for free to all owners of the game.

Harnessing the power of PC, PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, this next-generation update will boast dozens of visual, performance and technical improvements, such as ray tracing, faster load times on consoles (maybe even PC), integration of many community- created mods and much more.

Additionally, the game will receive new DLC sets, including weapons and armor for Geralt, as well as alternative skins for some characters inspired by the Netflix series The Witcher. And the best part is that if you already own The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, on PC, Xbox One or PlayStation 4, the Complete Edition upgrade will be free.

Reddit users have noticed that CD Projekt RED has changed the cover of the game on the Steam, PS Store and Xbox Store pages. In the new image, Geralt looks angrier and more detailed.
