Offended Russia: – Look in the mirror

The United Nations Security Council held an emergency meeting on Wednesday evening following the events of the past 24 hours in Poland.

A rocket exploded in a Polish village on Tuesday, killing two Polish men. For a long time there were fears that Poland, which is a member of NATO, was involved in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

But according to new information, it was established that it was a Ukrainian defense missile that exploded by accident. A united West holds Russia accountable as a belligerent in the conflict.

Norway scolded Russia

Mona Juul, the Norwegian ambassador to the United Nations, spoke out harshly against Russia in her speech to the Security Council on Wednesday evening.

– This would not have happened if it weren’t for Russia’s war against Ukraine, Juul said.

The Security Council has five permanent members, including Russia, and ten temporary members, including Norway and Ukraine.

Immediately after Norway, it was Russia’s turn to speak.

Russian ambassador to the UN Vasiliy Nebenzia was clearly offended at being held responsible for the explosion.

– We are used to the fact that Ukraine cannot be criticized, he said.

– Look in the mirror

– Some of you have repeated your favorite mantra: if it weren’t for Russia, we wouldn’t be in this situation. Well, I want to remind you once again that we would not be in this situation if Western countries had not participated in a bloody international coup that took place in Kiev in 2014, the ambassador said in his address to the Security Council.

He continued to discredit Ukraine’s military capabilities.

– I must say that the Ukrainian defense has long had a bad reputation, Nebenzia said.

– When you criticize someone, look in the mirror. Don’t forget how arrogantly you deny the discussion of European security, the Russian ambassador said.
