The first team of the men’s Al-Ahly Basketball Club presented itself in the final of the Al-Muttab League, after defeating Zamalek with a score of 71-64 in the semi-final first leg of the match which took place at the Burj Al – Arab Hall of Alexandria.
Al-Ahly’s men were late in the first period with a score of (16-12) and in the second period with a score of (34-38), while he came back in the third period with a usual revival and managed to advance for the first time against Zamalek with a score of 53-57, before closing the fourth quarter with a score of 71-64.
Al-Ahly must win a match in the second leg of the semi-finals of the linked league, either the under-16 junior team or the adult win to qualify for the final.
Al-Ittihad is expected to meet Al-Jazira in the same round of matches in the same hall, provided the return matches are held next Friday.
The final tournament matches will also be held in the Hassan Mustafa Hall in October on November 22 and 24.
