Lucid Air sedan production Start a year ago from the more expensive and long-range versions of the Dream Edition (118 kWh battery), but the rate of release is gradually increasing, and simpler options are gradually entering the market. past spring sales begin of the Grand Touring (830 hp) and Grand Touring Performance (1065 hp) versions with 112 kilowatt batteries. Two more ordering options are now available.
Lucid Air Touring is the “medium” version, which has twin-engine all-wheel drive (629 HP) and a 92 kWh traction battery, made up of 18 cells against the 22 cells of the “superior” versions. The passport range is 684 km, and this sedan has become the cheapest in the range: it travels 7.44 km per kilowatt hour. Acceleration to 60 mph (97 km/h) takes 3.4 seconds. In terms of interior trim, the Touring version is no different from more expensive options – nappa leather and wood veneer are used.
Even further down the hierarchy is Lucid Air Pure, but with two major caveats. Initially, this version was announced with rear-wheel drive and an even more compact 88 kWh battery. But such a sedan was delayed until 2023. Meanwhile, Lucid Air Pure is offered in a different configuration: with all-wheel drive (two motors with a total output of 487 hp) and a battery with a capacity of 92 kWh. Mileage on a single charge – 660 km, acceleration time to 97 km / h – 3.8 s.
The Pure version has a combined seat cover (leather and synthetic fabric) and 19-inch wheels. Pure and Touring sedans will have an aluminum roof instead of glass on the more expensive variants. And in the process of fine-tuning new versions, the engineers managed to slightly improve aerodynamics: a different configuration of fairings and air ducts made it possible to reduce the Cd coefficient from 0.21 to 0.197. This indicator is now relevant for the entire range.
But the previously promised prices could not be kept. A year ago, Lucid promised that a rear-wheel drive version of the Pure would cost $77,400, but now the projected price has jumped to $87,400. The all-wheel-drive Lucid Air Pure officially starts at $92,900, but can only be ordered with the mandatory set of options (Alcantara upholstery, blue body-color title, Enhanced Autopilot) to begin with, so less than $108,700 just doesn’t work. Well, the Touring version costs from $ 107,400 (a year ago they promised $ 95,000), and with mandatory options – $ 125,900. Car deliveries will begin later this year.

New information about the most powerful and expensive version released Sapphire Aria Lucida, which has three electric motors with a capacity of “over 1200hp”. It seems that the developers have done everything to surpass Tesla in terms of dynamic parameters. The Sapphire can hit 60 mph in 1.89 seconds versus 1.99 seconds for the Tesla Model S Plaid liftback, and top speed is 200 mph versus 200 mph. Such sedans will enter the market by the end of the first half of 2023, the price is 249 thousand dollars.
Lucid also brought up the upcoming second model, which was announced for the first time two years ago. The development of the Lucid Gravity crossover is nearing completion. It will be offered in five-, six- or seven-seat variants and also promises the longest range on the market outside other Lucid models. Lucid Gravity is now only shown in teasers. The crossover will be declassified in early 2023, orders will open at the same time. But mass production at the Arizona plant won’t begin until 2024.
