A blood donation campaign was conducted at the Gualeguaychú Delegation of the Professional Council of Economic Sciences over the weekend, where volunteers came to donate and helped save lives.
As usual, the Centennial Hospital Blood Bank, this time together with the Gualeguaychú Delegation of the Professional Council of Economic Sciences, has conducted a new voluntary blood donation campaign.
The day took place at the institute’s facilities located in Perón Nº 149, where voluntary donors arrived early to make an altruistic gesture and collaborated to save lives.
In this regard, the hemotherapy technician of Zulema Cardozo Blood Bank celebrated that “the campaign was successfully carried out thanks to each of the donors who registered in advance and then participated, to whom we are very grateful”.
He also remarked that “what the Blood Bank seeks, in addition to making the act of donating visible, is to generate more voluntary donors, because we need more people to join, because blood is not something that can be produced or bought , the only way to get it is for people to come and donate voluntarily”.
“It is not necessary to wait to have a friend or relative who needs it, it is simply to make a habit of donating, men can do it every two months and women every three,” he stressed.
