After doing demolition work
of the pedestrian bridge on the Mexican side, crossings generally operate normally this week via the “Camino Real” Two International Bridge, after being suspended for a few hours last weekend.

However, the pedestrian crossing to Piedras Negras, Coahuila via International Bridge Two continues to be suspended due to the construction of the new building on the US side.

Homero Balderas, director of the International Bridge System in Eagle Pass, Texas, reminded users that these maneuvers are to avoid any mishap that could occur, since the construction zone for the new building covers part of the pedestrian area.

Because of this, International Bridge One continues to operate 24 hours only for pedestrian crossing to the Mexican side and while construction of the new building on International Bridge Two is underway.
