The publisher has deactivated the ComputerTotaal – IT Pro – .Geeks website

Always a shame, an end of the era.
I’m still from the time when the computer was an idea for dummies, the total computer for the power user, and Hardware.info magazine truly for the diehard geek.

Even if for these magazines (especially the latest one) you had to go to the best bookstores, because it turned out to be a real cult product, while in every supermarket you could find hobby books, for example, baby food and gardening.

Unfortunately, the press has been under pressure for years, but a lot of information can now be found with a click of the keyboard and mouse through the well-known search engines, certainly not unknown to us tweakers.

I happened to have computertotal and hwi magazine in my house because he wanted to throw out old copies at the local thrift store.

I entertained myself for hours with articles on the pentium D vs Athlon X2 and of course the mystery shopper.

The press still has something magical, I personally think and it’s always a shame when you have to close an era.
But good things always take their place, we hope.
