Winter Taste ends in New York, with better temperatures – NBC New York (47)

NEW YORK – Our first taste of winter weather culminated Wednesday morning as the coastal low responsible for the mix of rain, ice and snow that fell Tuesday night and early morning moved away from our area, according to The Authority in Time (LAEET) .

Sunny weather and warmer temperatures in the 50s will return this afternoon.

The bad news is that this warming will be short-lived, with temperatures dropping sharply overnight. The winds are expected to cause a wind chill of between 20 and 30 degrees, according to LAEET forecasts.

Cold air will stay with us with highs in the 40s into early next week.

Here’s a look at the forecast for the New York area:

Wednesday

Maximum: 51 degrees. Mostly cloudy in the morning and sunny in the afternoon. Cold and windy night with lows in the 20’s and 30’s.

Thursday

Maximum: 45 degrees. Mostly sunny.

Friday

Maximum: 42 degrees. Mostly sunny.

Saturday

Maximum: 39 degrees. Mostly sunny.

Domingo

Maximum: 40 degrees. Mostly sunny
