Autumn has set in and there has also been a resurgence of RSV infections among young children. Most children infected with the virus can recover at home. But some infants or toddlers get so sick that hospitalization is required. And they also notice it in the pediatric ward of the Sint-Trudo hospital. Half of last weekend’s number of hospitalizations consisted of RSV infections. It is the first time since the corona epidemic that there has been such an increase in RSV infections.
