Three Israelis have been killed in a Palestinian attack in the occupied West Bank. Several were also injured. The alleged perpetrator was also shot dead.
Near the Ariel settlement, the perpetrator stabbed Israelis with a knife, including at a gas station. He then drove a car into other vehicles. Then he was hit.
In addition to the victims, several people were seriously injured, reports the Red Star of David, the Israeli counterpart of the Red Cross. At least three people were taken to hospital.

According to Palestinian reports, the perpetrator is an 18-year-old man from a nearby village, who is said to have worked in the Israeli settlement. The Israeli military says it is still looking for an accomplice.
Videos circulating online show the alleged perpetrator running down the highway and falling to the ground after being shot. The Palestinian Ministry of Health later confirmed that a Palestinian man was killed.
Outgoing Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and spoke of a difficult and painful morning for Israel. “A despicable terrorist has committed a major terrorist attack,” the prime minister said.
Series of attacks
Today’s attack comes at a time of growing violence in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. More than 130 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli military raids in the area this year. At least 23 Israelis have also been killed in a series of attacks in Israel and the occupied territories, according to data from the AP news agency.
Yesterday, during an Israeli raid near the city of Ramallah, a 15-year-old girl was killed by a soldier. The UN envoy to the area has called for an immediate and thorough investigation into her death.
