Toronto had sent a delegation to Kiruna to present the flag. It consisted of, among other things, people at the top of the club and Salming’s former teammate Tiger Williams. Even the Carlton club mascot arrived in costume.
In Kiruna, it was the parent club Kiruna AIF which was responsible for hosting. Börje Salming was moved by the commitment of both clubs.
