Muhtar (35), a road user from Bangbayang village, said the damage to the Cidahu Bridge had been going on for a long time.
The high intensity of the rain and the large number of passing heavy vehicles further aggravated the damage to the bridge. In addition to the collapsed side of the bridge, cracks were also visible in the bodywork.
“If it is not repaired as soon as possible, then it is possible that the bridge connecting the 2 villages will collapse as a whole. Also, there are already cracks on the bodywork,” he said on Sunday (13/11/2022).

Before the unexpected happens, as a road user, Muhtar hopes that the Cidahu Bridge in Cipaku can be repaired soon.
Because according to him, if the damage continues in such conditions, it is possible that it could cause an accident. The safety of road users is also at risk.
“Yes, we can be sure that if the damage is left too long, the Cidahu Bridge will collapse,” Muhtar said.
Another road user, Oyon said, Cidahu Bridge in Cipaku is not only an access link for 2 villages or a link between sub-districts. However, the bridge on the district road can be an alternative road to Tasikmalaya town.
“Many vehicles pass through the Kawali-Sadana route. Besides being closer, drivers also avoid traffic jams,” she said.
