Katrine Moholt (49) won the very first season of “Let’s Dance” in 2006 and has since led the program for several years.
This year, to the great joy of the fans, she returned to the parquet to compete in the “all stars” season.
Ready for new romance after divorce
When Se og Hør met with Moholt in connection with participating, the 49-year-old said she would had no plans to return as host of ‘Shall we dance’.
– I feel it is very natural that after ten years as a presenter, and now as a participant, you pass the baton to Helene, who is doing a great job. I’m very proud of Helene and Anders, Moholt boasted in October.
However, it doesn’t seem that viewers are entirely ready to give up hope, on social media several people have asked questions about his return and many have expressed their desire.
Under Saturday’s final “Shall we dance”. Se og Hør had a chat with Moholt to get answers.
– It was completely overwhelming
– I will not return
– I probably won’t be back as a presenter on “Shall we dance”, but I have new projects underway for Christmas. So I continue as a presenter on TV 2.
Moholt also expressed some glee at leaving the dance chapter behind.
– I can’t wait now, after ten years as a host on “Shall we dance”, and two seasons as a dancer. Then I feel like I’ve sort of completed “Shall we dance” and I think it’s going to be a lot of fun with some new challenges.
– Could it be that you suddenly appear in a guest appearance, then?
– Absolutely! When “Shall we dance” plays, I always line up, of course.
Unfortunately, Moholt can’t say more at the moment about the new projects he has underway.
Celebrated with both girlfriend and dance partner
– Everything is so secret in this TV business, she says with a mysterious look.
However, the 49-year-old doesn’t think it will be long before fans find out more.
– Do you have more time for your family now?
– I think now I’ve worked every weekend through the fall for ten years, and every summer – the whole summer vacation, seven days a week for 16 years, so I think I’m looking forward to having a summer vacation and weekends off, says Moholt and adds quickly:
– But that there will be a lot of work, there probably will be anyway.
– The ring is closed
The seasoned presenter does not hide the fact that she will miss the universe she has been a part of for so many years.
– I will always have ‘Shall we dance’ in my heart, I’ve been living with dance and ‘Shall we dance’ since 2006 so of course I’ll get there.
However, it now seems right to move forward.
This is what the pros actually work on
– It’s actually kinda cute. It’s a good feeling that the ring is closed. I think it’s somewhat important that you are able to let things go to make room for some new energy and new things, says Moholt and adds:
– If you just do the same things year after year, you can quickly stagnate a bit. So it’s nice to be able to move forward and try some new things and develop. I think it’s important.
Moholt will keep in touch with those he has worked with over the years, especially Anders Hoff (46), who has become one of his closest friends. He has no doubts they will be able to keep in touch.
– I’m 100% sure of it, because we talk at least three times a week and our girls are incredibly good friends.
– We are together a lot and it is very nice, adds the 49-year-old.
