Tunisia – The Ministry of Health launches an alert for bacterial diarrhea




The Ministry of Health published a press release this Saturday to announce the registration of numerous cases of diarrhea, especially children, due to a bacterium “Shigella Sonei”.

The ministry specifies, in its press release, that this disease is very contagious, and its prevention involves various actions, including hand hygiene, sanitation of toilets, the use of safe drinking water or, failing that, the boiling of drinking water, compliance with hygiene rules in the preparation of meals, disposing of nappies according to the rules of use, avoiding the swimming pool, adequate treatment of household waste.

The Ministry of Health invites parents to take their sick children to the doctor in case of diarrhoea.
