Decide on the case of Al-Ahly and Abdullah Al-Saeed within two months

A source from Laila Koura said the International Sports Tribunal (CAS) has set the end of next December as the hearing date in the case of Al-Ahly and Abdullah Al-Saeed.

The source, who declined to reveal his identity, added that the court held a hearing on Monday to examine the player’s complaint against the decision to fine him and seize his property, handed down by the Sports Settlement and Arbitration Center.

The court examined the documents submitted by Al-Ahly to strengthen his position, during which he refuted the reasons for his appeal to the Egyptian Settlement Center and the extent of the legality of this sentence which was issued against the player in accordance with the regulations, and asked the court to uphold the ruling.

Abdullah Al-Saeed moved from Ismaili to Al-Ahly in 2011 and played with him until 2018.

Abdullah Al-Saeed failed to reach an agreement with Al-Ahly in 2018 to renew his contract which prompted the player to sign initial contracts for Zamalek.

Al-Ahly was able to extend Al-Saeed’s contract despite signing for Zamalek, up to deciding to offer him for sale, before loaning him to Finn Koopion Paleosiora for a two-month period, between April and June 2018.

Then Al-Saeed moved to Al-Ahly Jeddah in July 2018, to put Al-Ahmar club in a contract that prevents the player from moving to any Egyptian club, but he terminated his contract with the Saudi club, so he signed a contract with Pyramids in early 2019.

Al-Ahly obtained a sentence fining Al-Saeed two million dollars and freezing his assets due to his breach of the terms of the contract.
