the welcome boost of By-coeur motorcyclists

It is never useless to remember, “the need in terms of blood remains very high”, as Dominique Riehl, president of the DSB of Creutzwald underlines. The latter organize a collection a month and are doing quite well, with an average of about a hundred donations. “Several times this year we have had some difficulties, and in general the takings have not yet recovered”, underlines the president who does not complain, but hopes that the next few months will be favorable to real change. “Some donors still have some problems registering in advance on the website of the French blood institute (EFS), many prefer to come spontaneously”.

Bikers with a big heart

A new donor appointment is offered this Tuesday, November 15, EFS mobilizes a large team of healthcare professionals to welcome and set up donations. Especially the DSBs in and around Creutzwald will benefit from the active support of the By-coeur association in Carling.

“They are very active and I met its president, Sébastien Crumbach, during an operation led by Dr Smile. Bikers have action all year round and some will be there to support us. If it works well, we will renew the operation ”, adds Dominique Riehl, with a team of around twenty volunteers, and who is also president of the departmental plan for blood donation. The Creutzwald DSBs also organize collections in Guerting, “We have gone from three collections to five a year, with an average of 40 to 50 people”, he adds. The whole thing is to keep up the pace and the Creutzwald association, in this sense, is doing quite well.

Blood sampling Tuesday 15 November from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm, hall of the La Houve headquarters in Creutzwald. Any registrations on the site efs.link/UCTSo
