NEW YORK – Authorities are looking for two suspects in the violent robbery of a street vendor in the Bronx, New York City police announced Saturday.
According to the uniformed police report, the event took place on Wednesday, October 19, at approximately 2.20 pm, in front of the 1041 east 163 street. The victim, a 46-year-old street vendor, was there when the two alleged robbers approached her, police said.
One of them allegedly grabbed the goods from the victim and threw them on the sidewalk. The woman confronted the men, but one of them reportedly pushed her to the ground and forcibly grabbed her fanny pack containing $300 in cash, before fleeing on foot, authorities added.
Nobody was injured.
The suspects are described as two men approximately 5’7″ tall and dressed in black.
