Interstate clashes in the regency of south-eastern Moluccas, Moluccas, resulting in two police officers being injured by arrows. Not only that, the masses involved in the clashes also burned houses and school buildings.
“Several houses of the residents were burned down and then there were school buildings, junior high schools were also burned down,” Maluku Regional Police public relations chief Kombes M Roem Ohoirat said, as quoted by Antara. detikSulselSaturday (12/11/2022).
Additionally, a number of residents were also reported to have stab wounds. It’s just that the police didn’t specify the number of victims who were injured.
“There were also several community members from both sides who were injured. The community was affected by arrow wounds, stab wounds,” said Kombes Roem.
In response to the incident, at least 3 SSKs of the TNI-Polri joint apparatus were on standby when the clashes occurred. More recently, Maluku Regional Police has once again deployed more personnel to the scene.
“And earlier, around 11 am, the regional police chief had ordered the reinforcement of troops there so that 2 SSTs from the Malra mobile brigade and police would be sent directly led by the police chief and deputy police chief,” Roem said.
