Vivo has just launched a new chip, the V2, which will be paired with the Dimensity 9200 processor for enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) performance. The announcement was made at this year’s Dual-Core X Imaging Technology Communication Conference in China.
The event was intended to showcase new technologies from various brands, including the collaboration between MediaTek and Vivo. The Vivo V2 chip offers a new method of high-speed communication with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset. It uses dual-core FIT connectivity technology to achieve high-speed communications.
Vivo V2 is a chip developed by Vivo itself and is a testament to the company’s independent research and development.
V2 has more memory, more features, and supports AI processing. The V2 is also capable of image processing with significant improvements over its predecessors, the V1 and V1 +.
The synchronization of the dual-core interconnection between these two different chips allows for optimal coordination of data and computing power.
Vivo AI’s DLA deep learning accelerator module in V2, along with a large-capacity SRAM cache unit, provides unmatched computing power for the chip.
V2 also has higher processing power density and data density. Energy efficiency is significantly improved thanks to the SRAM architecture. The V2 chip offers ultra-sharp images with an image processing engine high-end.
This ultra-sharp image quality processing engine can recover up to 35% of the focal length along with other image quality enhancement features.
The V2 chip also offers zero snapshot latency and motion detection techniques. The self-learning capability of this chip is further enhanced when capturing moving images. Vivo has also implemented RawEnhance 2.0 technology to improve the ability to capture images in low light conditions.
This system locates moving images by removing broken image pixels which will provide high quality dynamic photos.
