Musk told Twitter employees that the social media platform had already lost so much money that bankruptcy was possible, according to a report by Platformer and The Information.

Musk said Twitter is likely to have a negative net cash flow of several billion dollars by 2023. The richest man in the world also indicated that Twitter’s future hinges on the success of its premium service Twitter Blue.

“The reason we’re so hot on our customers is to keep Twitter afloat,” Musk said.

Twitter It hasn’t made a profit since 2019. The company’s revenue has also dropped since Musk took over and Twitter was abandoned by several large advertisers.

During the meeting, Musk reiterated that the “work from anywhere” policy was removed and that Twitter employees should return to work in the office. If the employee does not show up at the office, he will be considered to have resigned.

Twitter also again left behind by several executives who have escaped massive layoffs. Twitter Chief Information Security Officer Lea Kissner, Chief Privacy Officer Damien Kieran and Chief Compliance Officer Marianne Fogerty have announced they will leave Twitter.
