(CNN) – Iran announced on Thursday that it had succeeded in building a hypersonic ballistic missile.
“This hypersonic missile can penetrate all of the enemy’s missile shields and I don’t think there will be any technology to counter this missile for decades.
In response, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi voiced the agency’s concerns about the announcement.
“We see that all these announcements increase interest and fears for the Iranian nuclear program,” Grossi said in an interview with Agence France-Presse on the sidelines of the climate summit in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh.
