The bikers achieved their goal: to amend Decree 1542 of November 4, 2022, in which Mayor William Dau banned male barbecues throughout the city until December 5.

After two days of protests and a consultation meeting with district authorities this afternoon, it was determined that the restrictive measure, contemplated as a strategy to combat high hit rates, is only valid until 23:00:59 on Monday. November 14.
At the consultation table, attended by the manager of Espacio Público, Camilo Blanco; the director of the DATT, Janer Galván; the Secretary of the Interior, Ana María González; and managers of the various motorcyclists’ associations, it was also agreed to carry out a characterization of the people who mobilize and work in this vehicle.

Another of the points agreed in the assembly is to make a new decree with the security and mobility measures that will be implemented after the expiry of the decree 1542.
The new decree will be jointly built between the district administration and motorcycle workers, through workshops starting this Thursday.

“This agreement process has been reached in an amicable way and we are very willing to work together to obtain immediate, but also medium and long-term measures that improve the situation of motorcyclists and mobility measures in the city,” said Ana María. González Forero, Secretary of the Interior and of the City Coexistence.
