Police councilor René Grafe (46) took over the management of the Pirna police station.

Together with the 120 men and women of his district on Obere Burgstrasse, he assumes responsibility for the cities of Bad Gottleuba-Bergiesshübel, Dohna, Heidenau, Königstein, Liebstadt, Pirna and the city of Wehlen, as well as the communities of Bahretal, Dohma, Gohrisch, Lohmen and Müglitztal, Reinhardtsdorf-Schöna, Rosenthal-Bielatal and Struppen. About 90,000 people live in its service area of ​​approximately 500 square kilometers.

René Grafe is married and has one son. Born and raised in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Mountains district, he now lives with his family in Pirna.

He began his police career in 1995 with training in the central police service. He subsequently earned a degree in the higher police service in Rothenburg, which he successfully completed in 2006. He then worked in the criminal police inspectorate, the permanent criminal service and the deployment department of the Dresden police department.

Further stations in his professional career were the Meissen Police Station and the State Ministry of the Interior.

After two years of training at the German Police University in Münster, he was appointed a member of the police council in October 2022 and took over the management of the Pirna police station.
