Solar panels mandatory especially in large car parks in France

The rule applies to existing and yet to be built car parks. Which reports the British newspaper The Guardian.

Parking lot owners have a relatively short time to install the roof of the solar panels. Car parks with 80 to 400 spaces have five years to comply with the law, but for large areas with more than 400 spaces, it must be fixed within three years. At least half of the surface must be covered with panels.

Solar fields and wind farms

French President Emmanuel Macron announced plans in September to increase the use of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power. He also wants to speed up the process of building wind farms and solar panel fields.

Furthermore, this autumn the government is asking the French to be thrifty with energy. To give an example, the lights of the Eiffel Tower go out an hour earlier.
