An illegal Ethiopian immigrant was killed on Wednesday, hours after he committed the murder of two women and the wounding of two others in a family, in Shabwa governorate in southeastern Yemen.
Yemeni media sources said that an Ethiopian immigrant, who worked on the farm of a member of the Bani Hilal tribe in the Lower Markha district, infiltrated the home of the family he worked for and assaulted the head of the family, Muhammad Mubarak Lamah, and stabbed him and 5 women.
He added that two women died instantly, while the rest of the victims were transferred to Ataq for treatment, noting that two of the wounds were in critical condition.
Sources indicated that the accused tried to escape after committing the crime. However, people in the area chased him and shot him during a chase that lasted almost 5 hours.
Other sources claimed that the Ethiopian immigrant was shot after being captured by the people.
The incident occurred two days after the Ethiopian immigrant was fired from his job following a dispute with the farm owner.
