CPM BJP Alliance Bags Bengal Election Victory | Malayalam News, News from India | Manorama online

Calcutta – The anti-Trinamool CPM-BJP alliance achieved a major victory in the elections held in Midnapore, Bengal. The Bengal cooperative Bachao Samiti, formed by CPM and BJP, won 52 seats out of 63 without opposition. The Trinamool Congress said it was a CPM-BJP alliance ahead of next year’s panchayat elections.

BJP and CPM, rumored to be rivals in national politics, teamed up to defeat Trinamool in the election of the Bahrampur Cooperative Agricultural Credit Society in the Nandakumar block. Trinamool, which asked for 46 seats, withdrew all 35.

The new alliance became the subject of debate at the state and national levels. CPM and BJP leaders say such an alliance is needed to stop TMC’s misrule.

Summary in English: CPM – The BJP alliance achieves victory in the Bengal elections
