Al-Marsad Journal – Agencies: Scientists from Newcastle University and Flinders University have discovered the health risks of using a Tefal pan.
The journal Science of The Total Environment notes that, according to the researchers, when this pan is damaged, plastic particles are released.
To study the consequences of using Tefal tools, the researchers used molecular spectroscopy and also designed a computer model. The results showed that even a single crack in the Teflon coating can release 2.3 million plastic nanoparticles which are transferred to food.
According to the researchers, these findings underscore the need to inform specialists and consumers of the danger of plastic nanoparticles when preparing food using these utensils.
